Graham Stewart - Fueled By Passion, Racing With Pride

South Australian Motorsport competitor Graham Stewart is a man fueled by passion not only on the racetrack behind the wheel of one of many racecars, but also behind the scenes as a highly motivated and hard working committee member of various competitor sections.

Graham started his career in 1999 as a co-driver / navigator in the Classic
Adelaide Rally before moving himself into the driver's seat competing in the
MSCA Circuit Sprints where he sharpend his skills before moving into circuit
racing and hill climbing at Mallala Motorsport Park and Collingrove in a HQ
Holden before progressing into the Group N Historic Touring Car ranks with
his immaculate GTRXU1 Torana. In addition to this Graham has a second GTRXU1
which he uses for bitumen rallying events and in recent months has acquired
an MG to race in the newly developed MGF one make series.

With half a decade of black top experience under his belt the adapt racer
decided it was time to further challenge himself, expanding his team onto
the dirt banked ovals of Speedway. Jumping straight into the deep end Graham
buckled himself into a Sprintcar and his baptism of fire was one he will not
forget, destroying the car in a horrific end for end roll over.

Stewart built a new car and raced for a further season before moving into
the Super Sedan division, which is the premier sedan division of Speedway
racing. In addition to racing his Sedan Graham has recently purchased a
Classic Sprintcar belonging to the former Australian Champion Nippa Lacey.

Grahams latest outing was the recent practice night at Adelaide's Truckworks Speedway City aborad his Super Sedan where he drove very well on a well prepared track surface. 'I had a ball tonight and I can't wait to get the season started,' said Graham.

At the track Graham is always working hard to promote his racing and the
sections he competes in, he is a great believer in promoting what he does
with signs, autograph cards for the kids and is always happy to chat with
those interested in his racecars.

Away from the track the father of three is kept very busy juggling his time
between running his Bob Jane T-Mart franchise, family duties and working
with the competitor groups of the sections he races. At present Graham is
working on promoting to bring Group C (1973-1984) and Group A (1985-1992)
original racing cars to the Sporting Car Club of South Australia annual
Easter meeting at Mallala from the 10th to 13th of April 2009. This has been
approved on the proviso of enough competitor support. 'If this vision comes
to fruition this will further enhance the nationally acclaimed event,' said
